I use my Mandoline slicer in the kitchen a lot – its amazing for getting even slices for just about any fruit or veg, and is so much quicker (and safer) than using a knife.
I find it particularly useful for Dauphinoise or Boulangerie Potatoes, my own recipe Beef & Celeriac Lasagne and for fruit for pies and crumble.
I have quite a heavy duty one as I use it a lot, but this is a great starter Mandoline for anyone to keep in the cupboard. Its from Oxo and is a good price with a lot of great reviews. Its also Dishwasher safe and has an all important safety guard – don’t be tempted to use it without!
